HELP WITH STRESS
Stress affects everyone at some point, but how you cope with that stress will determine your quality of life. Sometimes stress can be used as a short-term motivator - to achieve a goal or meet a deadline - but prolonged stress can be frightening, overwhelming, exhausting and debilitating. It can also make you feel depressed and anxious, so it's important that you learn how to handle this emotion without turning to other crutches - such as drinking, smoking, overeating or undereating.
The prime culprit for stress is the workplace. From pressure to perform to unhealthy working environments and unsupportive colleagues, your career can be responsible for putting you under a great deal of strain. Stress can also be triggered by a broad array of situations such as a death in the family, falling out with a friend, money worries and beyond. Whatever your individual challenge or trigger-point is, I can assist you with a variety of self-help relaxation techniques and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is a useful tool for changing the way you think and behave.
